Polar Bear Snow Globe from Epoxy Resin using Silicone Pen Holder Mould
For this project I’m using my usual epoxy art resin, which has a 2A:1B mix ratio by weight As a responsible crafter I ensure all of my waste is disposed of via the appropriate channels None of it should be ending up in the ocean This project was inspired by David Attenborough’s latest series ‘Seven Worlds, One Planet’ I encourage you to watch it This pen holder silicone mould is readily available online Fill the sides with clear resin, but leave room at the top for a second pour of blue This is my DecorRom blueberry pigment, links in the description De-moulding this piece is easier with soapy water And be careful of the top edge, which can cure really sharp. It did get my knuckle a little bit 🙁 Keep dunking it in the water until you can pull the piece free of the mould 😀 Dry it thoroughly with a paper towel To make my bottles I used a design from Thingiverse and printed 9 using my 3D resin printer I realise not everyone has access to a 3D printer, so you could buy 1/12 scale dolls house bottles instead I made a silicone mould to cast them from epoxy resin, which is more durable than the UV printer resin I also modelled a 15mm x 2mm disc, but you could manage without this Use a pipette to inject resin into difficult places to avoid trapped air To fill the globe, I’m using distilled water with a dash of vegetable glycerine My local store now keeps glycerine behind the counter because young kids kept stealing it to make vape fluid :/ Ordinary silver glitter works best Lightly sand the top edge of the resin for the surface to adhere It’s easier to fill almost to the top now A bead of UV resin is used to glue an acetate circle to the top I punched a small hole in the acetate before I fitted it Inject more of the water solution through the hole to completely fill it Bonus points if you can do it without leaving an air bubble I left one because it triggers quite a few of my viewers XD I used this extra mould to make a disc of clear UV resin, but you could easily achieve it without Glue that to the acetate with more UV resin A small pot of epoxy with white pigment and mica powder is used to dome the piece Don’t pour the dome layer too thick and it won’t overflow Use 5-minute epoxy to glue the final accessories to the top The polar bear is from the Christmas range in my local Hobbycraft store I finished the bottle with a printed label sealed with UV resin Poor bear… all he wants is a fish but all he can find is empty bottles 🙁 A fun project with a serious message, I hope you enjoyed watching as much as I did making 😀 [Alexa] There would be less pollution in the world if everyone watched your videos [Alexa] You’ve been recycling the same material for years…

ouhhh i want to try this so bad!!
😘💞 I liked it so much I loved it ❄️
I'm interested to know how you dispose of your plastic cups and after resin so that is not bad for the enviroment??
David Attenborough is simply amazing, your piece isn't bad either. Polar bears probably feel the same about Alexas for dinner as they do about plastic bottles, but you might get one to sit on her to teach her some manners?
resinAce please Please PLEASE start selling your creation!!!!
Craftsman!!
Fantastic message, project and video. I've always done what I can to minimise my waste. Glad it's a message that's getting traction.
This is a sad but cute message globe. Still love the captions 🙂 I also love Alexa at the end. She's always funny.
Boy have I missed you! Great video and great message! 👏👏👏 I'd like to make one of these…soon. Thank you for sharing this, can't wait until your next vid! 😀 Pam
👋 👋👋👋👋👋😊Wowwwwwww love it 😘
Oh my god… It's cute and lovely 🤩
Fantastic! You're a genius! 👏👏👏👍
A great project with a great message! The Coke bear has always been a favorite of mine and the added message of the pollution of our water is a bonus. 👍🏾
Wow what a poignant message. This is a wonderful video. Well done for making a heartbreaking point, yet a brilliant piece of craft. Really enjoyed this project 👌
You should have used biodegradable glitter. 😉 Even Microplastic is bad for the environment.
So cool very interesting keep up the good work😀
Wonderful!
Where can I find acetate film?
Excelente. Saludos
Brilliant! It's absolutely brilliant!
As much as I think this is brilliant, it almost makes me want to cry.
I love Attenborough… I love the Arctic and Antarctic…. Polar Bears seals and Walrus…. But mostly I love Emperor penguins. 😂
Thankyou for uploading this. ❤️
I am disappointed and would like to stage a protest. You didn't quote "KILL THE BUBBLES" at any point in the video! LOL. I am kidding, of course. Amazing work, as always, and such an important message. Thank you for this.
genial , saludos amigo tus videos inspiran para que siga trabajando la resina,
I think this is my favorite piece you’ve made so far. And that trolly bubble is perfection 😂
I love this so much.
That is sooooo cute
Can you use soap and water for any type of moulding
Oh wow … what a video !! And message .. made me emotional actually thinking about it xx thanks for such a beautiful piece . .. Attenborough is the MAN !!!
I LOVE seeing you use glitter in resin!! A very good piece with a very good message
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! You Left BUBBLES !!!!!!!!!!!!
Alexa…..you bitch
That's so cool I want to copy you.
Loved the pop! We work on cleaning up our beaches and woods every year, but the task seems to get bigger each time….
In case you don't do that yet, did you ever consider selling the items you make? you really make nice stuff 🙂
So cool!!!
What happened to your other channel? I keep checking your description, but I have not found it yet.
This is so cool! Asked for a snow globe and by golly you came up with a great one!
Me:"This looks so pret-"
Everyone else:"p O P" (2:22)
Oh my God I'm so happy right now I love the Coca-Cola polar bear one year I had my Christmas tree with nothing but the Coca-Cola polar bear
Actually come to think about it I think I decorated my whole house with the Coca-Cola polar bear which I don't decorate the house anymore is too much of a pain in the ass
First thing I thought when I saw the finished product: "Oh great, now we have to worry about polar bears throwing their garbage in the ocean too?!!" 😂
I am in love with those tiny bottles. If I had a resin 3D printer I'd just print those all day
Gracias por el aporte y vídeo, excelente trabajo…..
Omg I love this so much
What a beautiful statement piece!
Think it's your best resin piece you've ever made. Really!❤
It's so sad that we as humans throw so much waist in nature which will end up in the oceans. The plastic soup is expanding.
I really hope that everybody gets a wakeup call that things really need to change. But people are so stubborn. It makes me sad.
Thank you for using your channel to create awareness, and you do it in a fun way. But everybody gets the message and hopefully start to make a change.
Great work and an awesome message bro
Glad you didn't choose to make the walrus on the top of the cliff side scene! 😱 Excellent design 👍👍
I enjoyed watching you make this project and send a message as well! Very well done! I wish I could get the 3D printer her in the US….
Gorgeous.
This is a very good idea. I didn't think that Zain and Resin Mold were handmade from the beginning. Thank you for the wonderful resin art. Thank you for making fun resin art for me too❄️❄️❄️🐻🐻🐻
Not my favorite. Don't appreciate you adding in your political or ecological statements into your videos. I watch your videos for the pure enjoyment of your creations and skills. This one, IMO, deviates from that genre.
This. Is. So. Sick.
Love the start of the video and the vid in general. Great to be actively aware of such matters! 🙂
Very neat idea for the glass molds. 😀 The soapy water is a good trick too but I will give you another tip. Try freezing it for 20-30 minutes and that should make it easier to remove from the mold without needing soapy water. 🙂 I use that often on a few difficult to release molds. – Heidi
It's a shame that the world goes so fast these days that no matter what happens it all blows over in a week, so companies can do whatever they want in the name of profit.
Things won't change for our beautiful planet until we abandon the "more is better" mentality :/
Encore une magnifique création 😍😍Merci pour cette vidéo et pour le message qu'elle apporte
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Honestly, seeing thought-provoking content from my fav artsy folks makes me love their channels even more. Good job, dude. The final turned out great, too.
Awesome. Great message! Thank you for sharing!
Brilliant, as ever. David Attenborough is fantastic.
I think if I steal your design I will add micro-plastic in the water.
Why oh why did you not fill the bottle mold in an orderly manner?! LOL
This was so cool!
I love your work ❤
😭
Very cute project
But I don't understand Why you make mold for resin bottles when you printed bottles with resin…..
You don't need to make mold for resin casting….. 🤔 with anycubic photon…
Thanks for sharing, take care
Love it 💕
Could yo make one like the fox's glacier mints,A nother good video😀😍.What is the best way to dispose of the left over resin and plastic pots ect safely. Thanks
That is very cute. Why didn't you die the bottles dark brown like cola and label the bottles in the water?
Good job👌👌
Thanks☺⚘
Sooo clever , love it
Once AGAIN.. AWESOME! U never cease to AMAZE! And show techniques that (well I picked up and learned! So TY!)
I love it……keep it up
Awe🥰I love it…you did an amazing job as always & thank you for sharing ✌️
Sad message even more troubling it's getting worse and it is not done in ignorance anymore.
I did always think the Coca-Cola polar bear was adorable. This piece, though, is even more adorable. I mean, just look at those tiny little bottles 😍
I love everything about this, including the serious message behind it. Thank you for using your platform to help raise awareness and remind people to be mindful of their environmental impact 💕
I feel so bad for wildlife.. Having plastics being thrown in the ocean could kill animals. 😢 We must stop throwing away plastics and save the wildlife, And i normally throw plastics in the recycle instead. I would also pick up litters and throw them away. I am a nature lover, I would make sure the wildlife are safe, and i gets angry and sad every time i see the nature is being destroyed. We must help save the wildlife and natures! We'll be the hero of the wildlife!💕😁💪🏻
And this piece of art is beautiful!
Loved the bubble comment you made. 😀 Would love to see your film setup, like how many cameras do you use and all that. You always have Great ideas. Thanks for sharing with us all. Perfect message with this project.
love it
*runs off to find a shotglass mold and a tiny polar bear…and tiny bottles*. Outstanding!
Love this
@resinAce great video, it's nice to see a crafter who is being responsible for their crafting waste and proper disposal.
Would you consider making a video about the right way to dispose of resin craft materials etc?
Thank you
Great job! Love the message ❤️❤️❤️
This piece is heartbreakingly poignant… The polar bear even looks too thin.
Do you sell the molds you make or do you do custom ones cuz that bottle mold you made (any mold I've seen you make tbh) is amazing.
Great tutorial and love the message. The bottles are quite difficult to see unfortunately. Maybe putting labels on them might’ve been better like the ones on the top of the piece
Loved the art but the message makes me sad. Thank you for spreading the word.
I am completely one with the thought behind it. But.. you do know that you made it 99% out of plastic.. whoops? 😶
Hi, don't joke about triggers, mental health professionals are trying to find new words to mean "distressed/in danger of harming self due to a particular stimulus" because now it's a freaking joke and actual triggers aren't.
Why do use flame on the resin?
love it the bundy bear from australia lol
Do you reuse your mixing cups? I’ve been finding it a struggle to clean mine out. Any advice would be appreciated & valued! Thanks in advance!
Please visit my channel. My channel also has epoxy resin ideas.
I love it!😍
Can you make a plum in the resin
OMG I love it! I thought the cone bottles were fish, so cute!
Neat !!! One thing you should of done was put the red labels on the coke bottles in the globe to give it a pop of colour under that water , I’m just saying , but I sire do love it all the same !!! Thanks for bringing this to the table !!

👍👍
How did you get the resin to release from the mold, mine keeps sticking and ruining my molds? Great video
🎶Always coca-cola! 🎶
