(Hi Everyone.) Last week I tried out one of these pineapple spiralizing slicing tools and it worked really well. (Good for you Dave. I am proud.) So this week I thought I’d try the same tool and see if I could use it on a watermelon. (Good idea) I took out the largest cutter and attached it to the handle. (Loving the background dance music) And I’m hoping it will just cut its way down into the watermelon without destroying it too much. (Fingers Crossed!) I put the melon on a chopping board, (Yes. I can see that!) And sliced off the end. (I really like your chopping board. Where did you get it?) Then took the cutting tool, (Wow. The board looks even better from this angle.) Placed it on top, (Yep) And started rotating it. (Yes. Tell me something I don’t know!) And it seems to be working pretty well. (lucky you) So I carried on screwing the slicer into he melon going nice and carefully because the fruit is quite fragile and I didn’t want to damage it. (And breath!) It kept screwing down ok and I could feel when I got to the bottom. (I wish I could feel your bottom) So I lifted it back up, (Ooo. Pretty Wacky.) And out came this huge plug of melon. (Plug of melon? Plug?) Pretty cool huh? (It’s alright.) One of the first things I noticed though was that it didn’t leave behind the core in the centre like it does with the pineapple. (Good spot mate!) And if I lift this up you can see it is still inside the tool. (Wow. Even better spot. You have good eyes.) It has cut this really cool pillar of water melon. (Pretty cool?) And if I remove the handle you can pick pieces off the top. (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm blocking the screen sorry. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmnmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm And it’s left this amazing hollow old inside the watermelon (Yes I has) You can see the long lines of seed going down to the bottom. And there’s still a lot of fruit left behind. (Yes) So if you like you could take a spoon and clear it all out. (I suppose that is a good idea. Sort of.) I placed mine in a bowl and filled it up with drinks to make a nice fruit cocktail perfect for perfect for parties. (I wish I could come to one of your parties. I love watermelon) And if your slicer came with one of these wedge cutting tools you can try it out with a watermelon. (Darn it! I didn’t get a slicer.) It worked really well and you get these perfect wedges of watermelon. (Oh my god. I am so jealous. I wish mine came with a slicer now. Grrrrr) And you can put some in the punch. (Dave. You are making this up as you go along. I swear.) It’s great because the watermelon contains all the liquid without any leaking out. (That is great) It looks really cool (Pretty cool huh?) (You just ladle out the drink) (Dave. How many can I have?) And you can make a few different ones for a party. (Thanks for the answer. I can’t wait to show off my new melon juice holder skills to my friends.) Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah (Or take a look at mine.) Stay safe, have fun and as always thanks for watching! (and reading.) (If you read this then you are awesome. Not many will read this because it is right at the end but you did so well done. You don’t get a reward but well done. You are either the person who managed to pause this first time or the one who paused on this the second time or maybe even the third. Have a great day and as always thanks for watching.
